About Laprise Electrical in Southern Maine

Owner-Operated Electrical Services Built on a Residential Construction Foundation

Laprise Electrical is an owner-operated electrical contractor serving homeowners throughout Southern Maine, launched in Spring 2025. When you work with us, you're working directly with the electrician completing your project—no subcontractors, no handoffs between team members.

The owner spent his early years working in carpentry through high school and during the COVID era, building a strong foundation in residential construction. This background provides insight into how electrical systems integrate with framing, insulation, and finish work—valuable context when running new circuits, troubleshooting existing wiring, or planning service upgrades in homes where access requires working around structural elements.

More than five years ago, he transitioned into the electrical trade through apprenticeship and hands-on field experience. Working under an established electrical contractor, he gained experience in a wide range of residential electrical services—from panel upgrades and circuit installations to troubleshooting, lighting retrofits, and outlet additions. That foundation informs the approach taken on every job today.

Being owner-operated means you'll communicate directly with the person doing the work. You'll receive a clear explanation of what needs to be done, why it matters for your home's safety and functionality, and what to expect throughout the process. Transparent pricing, honest timelines, and straightforward answers are standard on every project.

Grounded in Maine Homes and Neighborhoods

Laprise Electrical was launched in Spring 2025 to provide homeowners with reliable, personalized electrical solutions. The goal was to create a service model where customers work directly with the electrician who understands their home, remembers their concerns, and takes ownership of the outcome—not a rotating crew of technicians.

With Maine roots and years working in Southern Maine homes, there's a deep understanding of local neighborhoods and homeowner needs. Whether you're in an older home with knob-and-tube wiring that needs updating, a newer build requiring additional circuits for modern appliances, or anywhere in between, the experience spans the range of residential electrical work common throughout the region.

That carpentry background also proves useful when electrical work intersects with structural modifications—adding outlets in finished walls, routing cables through attic or basement spaces, or coordinating with other trades during renovation projects. You'll work with someone who understands how homes are built and how electrical systems fit into the larger picture.

Direct Access to the Electrician Completing Your Work

Quality workmanship, honest communication, and long-term customer relationships define how Laprise Electrical operates. You'll receive written estimates before work begins, explanations of code requirements when they apply, and updates if anything changes during the project. The owner-operated structure means accountability is built in—there's no passing responsibility between office staff and field crews.
